Matt was first introduced to the International Visitor Leadership Program by the International Affairs Council in Raleigh, North Carolina, where he completed an internship. Matt graduated Cum Laude from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with dual degree in Psychology and Modern European History. He studied abroad with the Collegium Hieronymi Pragensis in Prague, where he studied the Czech language, civilization and History. Matt also took advantage of an academic field seminar in Botswana studying, “Human Nature across Diverse Cultures.” In Botswana, Matt lived with a family in a Basarwa community in the Kalahari Desert. Matt joins Meridian with a strong leadership and community involvement background as the former president of his fraternity, Delta Sigma Phi, and a Habitat for Humanity volunteer.
