Sean has worked in a variety of positions in his six years at Meridian. As a Program Officer, he designs, implements, and manages individually tailored professional exchange programs, study tours, Reverse Trade Missions, and training programs for a variety of clients, including U.S. embassies and U.S. Department of State bureaus, the U.S. Trade and Development Agency, and private sector clients. He oversees two long-term, multi-year exchange programs for youth leaders from Iraq and Central Europe, including in-country recruiting, professional programming, and financial management. Sean traveled to Iraq in February 2011 to implement a follow-on workshop for 60 Iraqi youth who participated in the U.S. exchange. Prior to working for the GlobalConnect, Sean worked as a Program Officer in the Professional Exchanges Division, designing and implementing visitor exchanges for more than 200 professionals under the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP). Sean holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and French from The Ohio State University and Master of Arts in European and Eurasian Studies from The George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs. He is proficient in French and has a certificate in grants management training.
