Kari Sandvig brings over 5 years of marketing, event management, and development experience to Meridian’s Department of Development. As Manger of Membership and Special Events at Meridian International Center, Kari oversees all aspects of Meridian’s fundraising events, as well as its corporate and individual councils.

Prior to joining Meridian, she worked for the event production firm Dufour & Co. Productions. There she handled the logistics and execution of corporate and non-profit events, for clients such as Target, Georgetown Pediatrics, Safeway, BBC, Country Music Association, National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship, and MSNBC. Ms. Sandvig spent 2 years in Steamboat Springs, Colorado as the Events & Communications Coordinator for an independent bookstore, Off the Beaten Path. There she launched a new e-commerce website and rebranded the store, which helped the store gain visibility and lead to increased sales. She was also instrumental in building stronger relations with the local community by implementing successful programs and partnerships with independent businesses and the Chamber of Commerce.

Ms. Sandvig lives in Washington, DC with her husband and holds a B.A. in Economics from Colorado College.
