Heather Haines is the Director of Meridian’s Public Programs, including the planning, development, and execution of all programs ranging from lecture series, symposia, roundtables and major forums that support Meridian’s mission. Heather joins Meridian from the Washington, Dc-based think tank Center for Global Development where she was the Events Manager. She previously worked as Marketing Coordinator at the law firm of Williams Mullen, as well as the Community Relations Manager at the downtown Washington, DC Barnes & Noble. Other past positions include working with Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) and Miramax Films. Heather has a BA in English from the University of Oklahoma and a Masters degree in Literature from the University of North Texas. Heather volunteers regularly with the Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind, and has also been engaged with the DC Shorts Film Festival and AFI Silver Docs Festival.
