Sandra MacDonald Davis

Senior Vice President, Global Connect

As Senior Vice President of GlobalConnect, Sandra has responsibility for all public and private sector business development for this division which designs and implements cross-cultural exchanges for the USG and multinational corporations through public-private partnerships.

Ms. Davis is a senior-level manager with 27 years of experience managing government-funded youth, academic, and professional educational exchange programs. Prior to joining Meridian International Center in May, 2011, Ms. Davis worked at the Academy for Educational Development (AED) for eleven years, advancing to become AED Vice President and Director of the newly created Center for Academic Partnerships (CAP) in 2006. In this role, she led CAP business development, design and oversight of new programs, creating and nurturing partner and client relations, budget development and oversight, as well as staff hiring and supervision.

Ms. Davis' professional experience includes seven years managing State Department and Corporate-funded youth exchange programs at Youth For Understanding, twelve years managing State Department-funded professional exchanges at Meridian International Center and AED, and eight years expanding CAP’s program and client base. She currently leads Meridian's GlobalConnect team, with programs that include short and longer term exchange programs in most world regions. Ms. Davis has travelled on business to most countries in the Middle East and North Africa, as well as Russia, Ukraine, India and Indonesia. She has a BA from Stetson University in DeLand, Florida, and an MA in International Affairs from George Washington University, Washington, DC.
